Page Number: 4 of 7 pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7of naked women in the public eye. I took a famous of image of Demi Moore posing nude whilst pregnant on the cover of a fashion magazine, and positioned it on a page in contrast to an image of Holly Madison (Hugh Hefner’s #1 girlfriend) posing nude on the cover of an adult magazine. I created this page in order to see how people felt about exposure and exploitation of women, and took what I found and used it to understand how modern girls feel about femininity/sexism. I asked some of my friends what they thought of each of the images and the general consensus was that Demi Moore looked elegant, yet had exploited the rights of her child and almost devalued pregnancy. By using chalk and charcoal I could create a clear differentiation between skin tone and hair fibres, and also created the idea of a dark and light side to my character. The second idea that I produced was a biro drawing of a newly married couple with the question ‘How long will this EUPHORIA last?’ written above the image in watercolour. I wanted this to be a representation of the unity of the sexes and for the image to appear happy. However, similar to Barbara Kruger’s work, I used an ironic question that most people do not usually think of at the moment. I wrote the text in a weak watercolour to contrast with the strong question. The third idea that I created was
