gas syringe instead of water taken straight from the tap and a thermometer, and a burette. The gas syringe would be easier to read, more accurate and would prevent air getting into the experiment such as when the bung was replaced on the boiling tube in this investigation. The water bath would ensure very accurate temperature control and a constant temperature all the way through the experiment.

This experiment would have been better because of its greatly improved accuracy, but was not possible to do due to the lack of equipment available.
