sure that the image, made a huge impact on the audience. To do this we had Ben behind a curtain. The scene went from a calm atmosphere into a rushed deadly mood. The curtain was fiercely pulled back and Ben was unveiled hung. The sudden unveiling of the curtain was the climax of the advert as a whole.
I enjoyed my role as the “host” because I liked the fact I could address and yet interact with other characters. Unlike some dramas, in this one I had to alter my tone of voice at certain times. Although I feel I am much better at performing comedic pieces, I believe I did myself justice in this serious drama.
I particularly valued the way we all put down our own suggestions, and by some means we were able to fit each idea into the drama successfully. This way every had their say, and closed the door to disagreements. The drama overall was successful as each individual person suited their roles, and wasn’t hard to adapt to their character. With this drama I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses, which will in no doubt help me to achieving and even exceeding my minimum target grade.
Evaluation of another Group
I particularly valued the way that the incentive of the letter, lead to flashbacks mainly, but also featured significantly in the present tense of their drama. This gave an insight of both worlds to the audience, (present and past) giving greater understanding and answers to questions of the motives of each and every character within the play. The letter was kept under spotlight throughout the play, this effect exposed to the audience that the letter was of great importance..
The Play started with Ben, (in the present) writing the letter. Here the mysterious letter first establishes its place in the drama. As the audience are completely oblivious of the letter’ meaning or the motives for writing it, this was effective as it undoubtedly leaves the audience in deep curiosity and in great anticipation of finding out more information. In the next scene Hannah, finds the letter and begins reading it. The reactions of the audience are tense at first, but soon ease out as the meaning of the letter unravels.
The key moment of tension and interest in the play for me was the sensitive flashback scene, between Sanjay (playing Ben in the past) and his
