Few minutes later a fast music will be played to show danger and action, at the same moment Romeo will enter in hurry from the right side of the stage, facing Tybalt. At the same moment Tybalt will suddenly look more alert dismissing Mercutio by pushing him aside saying “Well, peace be with you, sir: here comes my man.” By then the audience is expecting the fight to go to Romeo.
Then the 50% brightness red spotlight will increase to 90% brightness to show more danger and romance and a quiet soft music is to be played in the backstage. On the other hand Romeo will stand next to Mercutio and Benvolio looking deeply at Tybalt trying to pacify him by saying “Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee Doth much excuse the appertaining rage.” Now this quote will have an anti-climax effect on the audience as a vague disappointment aimed at Romeo’s growing sympathy with Tybalt.
When Romeo refuses to fight, Mercutio is shocked out of his silence by the way Romeo is saying that he loves Tybalt and wants him to be satisfied, so Mercutio whirl Romeo full view of audience before drawing his M16 saying “O calm, dishonourable, vile submission! Alla stoccata carries it away. Tybalt, you rat-catcher, will you walk?” Currently the chance of fight renewed and the audience is engaged by the way Mercutio is dealing with Tybalt.
At this moment a flashing red light will cover all the stage and horror music will be played as all the stage will be used in the fighting between Mercutio and Tybalt.
Before Tybalt accepts the challenge, Benvolio will catch Mercutio’s hand preventing him to challenge Tybalt, But Mercutio push Benvolio aside and Tybalt accepts the challenge. At this moment Mercutio will drop his weapon and hurriedly takes the two crossed swords from the background and through one of them at Tybalt. Now Tybalt’s friends move back to the left side of the stage while Mercutio and Tybalt start fighting in the centre of the stage. As the fight progress Tybalt falls down, and at the same time Romeo catch Mercutio’s hand trying to calm him, but as Mercutio drops his sword Tybalt suddenly stands up and attack Mercutio by his sword under Romeo’s arm.
