the music will stop. Then Romeo will close his eyes and put his hands on his bowed face before screaming “O, I am fortune's fool!” before taking his kaffiyeh off his shoulder and hide his face with it while escaping. This will leave the audience shocked and waiting to see consequences of what has happened so far.

The obvious change of pace during this scene helped to engage the audience’s attention and to make the play looks more interesting. Another thing that enhanced the audience’s attention was the changing of characters’ status throughout this scene.

As I said before Act3 Scene1 is seen as a crucial and important turn point in the play of Romeo and Juliet as a whole. It is at this point where things start to go tragic and badly resulting in the catastrophe where as prior to this scene the play was seen as a comedy drama. Act3 Scene1 is also a point where the transition of the romance theme to the tragedy theme commences. The tragedy starts with the death of Mercutio, who represents the light hearted character, and then tragedy continue as Romeo get banished from the city before going to the last part of the play. However as the curtain goes up for the next scene, Juliet and her nurse would be talking inside Juliet’s bedroom.

In order to make the play more exciting and relevant for a modern audience, I have
