Most Films don’t start with a squished dragonfly, or any type of dragonfly for that matter! But as the film progresses it turns into a fun-filled, action-packed sci-fi adventure.
I Really enjoyed the opening because it makes you think “ Why on earth have I wasted my money on watching this? ”, but then it drags you in by making you want to know what will happen next, who everybody is and why a van has been pulled over.
Almost every scene has something funny or interesting about it. The use of Com- puter Aided Design is used a bit, and actually looks very realistic! A “ Goo-some ” part is when an alien gets shot and a Police chief gets splattered with it’s entrails, he then gets brainwashed. Who would want that to happen to them?
The Sunday Paper think that it is “ Utterly Ridiculous ” but heat magazine completely disagree, they think it is “ Really Really Funny ”. I think it is a really good film, the plot works well, it is kind of creepy when you think about it though. You see an alien but you never remember that you have because men in Black suits come around wiping your memory of it!
There are quite allot of good special effects, including a head exploding, a talking dog, and a miniature alien inside someone's head! The ending isn’t that good, It doesn’t really sum up everything that has happened in the film but it does relate back to what someone has said.
I think maybe the opening could change a bit because people might only see a small part of it and not like it then turn it off and never watch it again. If the dragonfly was being chased by something or if it was
robotic then it might be a bit more appealing.
Altogether I would probably give it a three star.
