Page Number: 1 of 5 pages: 1 2 3 4 5It all started about one year ago. I went from local zero to local hero. I used to walk the streets and be normal but now I’m flying and fighting crime. I now defend people, the innocent who can’t defend themselves. I bet your wondering how this all happened, I will now tell you.
It was any normal day, but one thing I didn’t know is that this day was going to be the last normal day of my life. Things were going to change dramatically for the best.
I woke up, ate breakfast, had a boring day at school and walked home. I walked home through the scummy streets of my neighbourhood. Apparently this area was the roughest of rough neighbourhoods, but I never took any notice of that.
I felt lonely round here; I was new to the area. We'd only lived here a month and I had only made one friend. Her name was Lauren, lived two doors away; she was a crazy girl she was always up for a laugh. We are very good friends actually I would say she was my best friend.
When I got home from school there was a message on the answer machine. I pressed the button on the answer machine and it dictated to me:
"Hi Dave, its Lauren could you please ring me it’s urgent" I didn’t want to ring her back straight away so I went into the kitchen and had a snack.
I got settled down for the night. I had a shower, put my nightwear on, got my supper, turned the fire on and put the telly on. I was watching Big Brother. I completely forgot about Lauren she didn’t even cross my mind.
It was about Half Past Seven and the phone rang my instincts told me instantly it was Lauren, I thought she was going to kill me. All different lies were going through my head what to tell her, I didn’t know what to say. I could hear my dad talking to her on the phone, I could here my heart pounding, and the only thing that was going through my head was. She was going to kill me.
My dad shouted me, my heart skipped a beat. I crept up to the phone very slowly. My dad shouted me.
“Hurry up Dave, Lauren is waiting get a move on.” I got my act together at
