we do not get a feeling of sympathy towards them. This is because they do not speak of how upset they are, but are possessed with anger and the thought of revenge. ‘The delicate droplet, my whole fortune’s fee’, this gives us a sense of how much she wants revenge, ‘my whole fortunes fee’, it’s costing her all of her fortune to make the poison.
Both poems are similar in their plots and storylines but use different styles of imagery and structure in the poems. Both give deep meaningful messages of the difference between love and hate.
