A citizen is a member of a community or state. How you become a citizen depends upon different factors, for example place of birth, family ties or period of residence in a country.


Definition of Citizenship
1. The state of being vested with the rights, privileges, and duties of a citizen.
2. The character of an individual viewed as a member of society; behaviour in terms of the duties, obligations, and functions of a citizen.

Definition Citizen
1. A person owing loyalty to and entitled by birth or naturalization to the protection of a state or nation.
2. A resident of a city or town, especially one entitled to vote and enjoy other privileges there.
3. A civilian.

A)

The Police would expect the following activities in a good citizen.
 A good citizen understands that rules are made for good reasons and does not break them.
 A good citizen cares about and contributes to the community and to the good of society.
 A good citizen works to improve their society
 A good citizen takes responsibility for their own actions and towards other people and environment.

The Fire Service would expect the following activities in a good citizen
 A good citizen would respect the land and environment which is especially important to the fire service as they deal with environmental jobs.
 A good citizen looks out for other people not just themselves.
 A good citizen positive attitude which welcomes challenge

The Army would expect the following activities in good citizen
 A good citizen is committed to what they are doing
 A good citizen takes responsibility for the safety of others not just themselves
 Good citizens would abide by rules and realise why they are in place.
